There are a lot of positive things happening at Tecumseh Early Childhood Center every day and I would like to take this opportunity to update you on some of our successes and events.
Students and staff are working hard to do their part on achieving our district wide fitness goal in the Million Mile Challenge. Our superintendent challenged us at the beginning of the year to keep track of the miles we walk daily both at school and at home to promote a healthier lifestyle. So far TECC has contributed 32,896 miles! Way to go everyone. Thank you for your donations.
Congratulations to Mrs. Stiles' pre k class for being the first group to meet the outstanding attendance goal set for our students this year. Students earned letters from the word "attendance" for being in school and on time daily. Once all the letters were earned the class spelled out the word "attendance". We are very proud of our little people and their parents for understanding that good and regular attendance is one of the key components for being successful in school.
As a result of this push for better attendance we will have special visitors return on October 7. The Attendance Super Heroes will be on campus as we recognize our September attendance all-stars. Keep up the good work.
Tecumseh's local fire department will be on hand October 8 to visit with our children about fire safety. Firemen will present a skit on fire prevention, quick escape and general fire safety. We appreciate their enthusiastic involvement with teaching our children about how to survive in the event of a fire.
October is a busy month for our school. Following a couple of short field trips we will have a fall break and when we return we will be looking forward to our school picture retakes, a Rise and Shine assembly, pictures with Santa and our Fall Festival scheduled for October 31.
Have a great October!
