September 17-21 has been reserved for Pink Week at Tecumseh Public Schools. The event which is often held in conjunction with football or basketball homecoming is a week long fundraising effort by THS Student Council to help fight cancer. A portion of t shirt sales proceeds are donated on behalf of Tecumseh Public Schools each year to a designated cancer fighting charity.
The week involves banner painting, dress up contests, class competitions and a pep assembly which will be September 21 at 2:20 pm in the Alumni Building. Ceremonies conclude with the crowning of football royalty which will be at 6:55 pm. The theme of this year's pink week is Scooby Doo--Solving the mystery of cancer. T shirts which are dark pink and are short sleeve will have the above pictured design on the front and will come in a variety of sizes starting at $10.. You can call the high school office for more information on placing an order. There will be two waves for ordering. First deadline is Thursday, September 13 by 4 pm and the second wave is Tuesday, September 18 no later than noon.
